VME crates at ID3 ( like in all ESRF beamlines ) are diskless systems running OS9 operating system.
The Real-Time Kernels group install and maintain real-time kernels, including OS9.
The digital electronics can be contacted to get general information about VME cards supported at ESRF.
Finally the bliss group, is responsible for the control software.
