The X-ray beams of the ESRF are produced by a set of electron accelerators operated by The role of the Accelerator & Source Division is to operate, maintain and develop the X-ray source. This includes the Injector (Linear Accelerator, Booster synchrotron & Transfer Lines), the Storage Ring, the Insertion Devices and the Beamlines Front Ends.
