JOINT POSTER SESSION

 


There will be a Joint Poster Session on Tuesday 8th February (18:00 - 19:50) for the posters submitted for the following events:

The joint poster session will take place under the marquee.

The posters will be grouped and displayed per event: please register your poster for the event to which it is related to facilitate its further process. Do not hesitate to consult beforehand the workshop information web page for details on submission of abstracts and presentation of posters.

The posters must be registered via the registration form
until the registration deadline - Thursday 20th January -
in order to be included into the booklets.

 
 

POSTERS SUBMITTED FOR the USERS' MEETING

The participants of the Users' Meeting (8 - 9 February) are strongly encouraged to submit posters (maximum of 3 posters) on their recent work. Posters MUST BE REGISTERED, using the appropriate section "Posters & Abstracts" of the electronic registration form, where the participants must provide:

  • the name of the author(s): please specify with the submission which authors are students,
  • the poster title,
  • the field of research to which the poster belongs.

 

 Do NOT SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT for a poster submitted for the "Users' Meeting"

 

 

The poster panels available to fix your posters have the following dimensions: 110 cm high x 85 cm wide or the generic A0 poster format. The posters should fit into this format and can be fixed to the panels with Velcro taps provided by the workshop organizer.

Special web page "USERS' MEETING POSTERS"

 

A special web page "Users' Meeting Posters", accessible on-line from MONDAY 24th JANUARY, will display the list of posters registered for the event "Users' Meeting" with links to the posters PDF files.

 

 

You wish to have your poster(s) displayed on that web page

 

Please upload, via the electronic registration form, a PDF file of your poster, registered for the event "Users' Meeting, whose size must NOT EXCEED 10 MB (please read carefully the instructions given in the "Posters & Abstracts" page of the electronic registration form). If you do NOT wish to have your poster(s) displayed on the web before the meeting, register your poster but do NOT upload its PDF file.

The posters will be displayed by field of research,  according to the ESRF Experiments Division Groups (or the corresponding beamline). Do not forget to select, in the registration form, the field of research to which your poster belongs. The poster title specified in the registration form will appear as the link on the "POSTERS" special web page.


IMPORTANT: Please save and submit your poster under your FAMILY NAME to facilitate its further processing (i.e.: SMITH_UMPoster.pdf)


The posters registered for the event "Users' Meeting" and displayed on the web will be eligible for the ESRF Best Poster Award.

 

The deadline for sending your poster PDF file is:
Tuesday 1st February 2011

 

 In case of technical problem, please send an e-mail.


Embargo policy: Authors of poster(s) reporting work which may fall under an "embargo policy" should register their poster providing only the name of the author(s), the poster title and the field of research, and should NOT send the PDF file of their poster. These posters will NOT be eligible for the ESRF Best Poster Award (see below).


 

Best Poster Award

ONLY posters for which we have received a PDF file and which are therefore displayed on the special web page will be eligible for the ESRF Best Poster Award.

An award will be made for the Best Poster submitted for the Users' Meeting. The posters will be judged by the eight members of the Users' Organization and the winner announced at the Users' Meeting dinner, on Tuesday 8 February.
