FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The 20th Users' Meeting will take place at the ESRF site between 8 - 12 February 2010. This event will feature two associated workshops and a school coupled with a plenary meeting devoted to recent advances and future directions in science at the facility. Parallel sessions and a joint poster session will give the opportunity to enjoy exciting new science and to debate the scientific prospects of the Upgrade Programme. The ESRF will be more than ever the place to gather for all European scientists interested in cutting-edge research using synchrotron radiation.

This year the Users' Organization has decided to extend the plenary session to a one and a half day format in order to cover a large spectrum of ESRF activities and encourage interactions between scientists of different communities. The plenary meeting will be held on February 10-11 and will feature 6 plenary lectures, a presentation on the status of the facility, a talk by the winner of the Young Scientist Award, topical and interdisciplinary parallel sessions, and will close with a common session with feedback from the parallel sessions and discussion of general ESRF matters.
A joint poster session and a banquet at the ESRF site will give the opportunity to discuss with fellow researchers, stimulate new ideas and new scientific collaborations.
