  RING (ADD POWDER RING)

Adds a simulated powder ring to the current ROI. The powder ring has a Gaussian profile of a specified sigma, and may by elliptical owing to detector non-orthogonality (tilt). The simulated powder ring is added directly to the current data array.

The following example shows such a ring being simulated:
