The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Science Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line "B" :

- serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF.

- its terminus - 'Oxford'  - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

How to access seminar room MD-1-21

The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (ONLY passport or ID card) to enter.

At the epn site entrance you will be given a visitor badge which is your site access badge. You will be asked to present it at the site entrance each time you wish to enter on site during the period of the event.
At the welcome party you will receive the workshop badge.

Please wear these badges on site over the whole period of the event.

Accommodation & catering information


Guesthouse


We will organise accommodation at the guesthouse on site for the school participants, provided that the request for accommodation arrangement is made through the final registration form.
The accommodation costs are included in the fee (up to 5 nights).

Please note that for security reasons, the guesthouse is not available for accompanying persons.

Opening hours of the guesthouse reception:
Monday- Friday: 7.00 to 15.00
Week-end: 7.00 to 12.00
if you arrive outside the opening hours you will have to ask for your room key at the site entrance.

Meals


The event will start with a WELCOME reception on site in the cafeteria next to the epn site restaurant on Sunday, 17 November at 18:00.

Lunches will be taken at the EPN campus restaurant on site. As well as dinners on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (Dinner from 19.00 to 20.30).
Dinners in town are at your own charge. Don't forget to wear your workshop badge to access the restaurant.

The Social Dinner will take place on Wednesday 20th November in town.

Wifi connection on EPN Campus


Both eduroam and an EPN_Visitors network are provided in the Experiment Hall, the Guesthouse, in all main office areas and all meeting rooms
