Meeting on Nano-focusing Optics and Round Table Discussion on Diamond Crystals

EMBL Seminar Room
March 6-7, 2006

Programme

Date and Venue

These meetings, hosted by the ESRF, will be held on the 6th (starting at 2pm) and 7th March (ending at 16:30) 2006 on the common ESRF-ILL-EMBL research site, EMBL Seminar Room.

Scope of the Meetings

The scope of the Nano-focusing optics meeting is to:

• Identify capabilities and requirements for hard X-ray nano-focusing optics at European synchrotron sources and related institutes.
• Discuss possibilities of coordination and formal collaboration in the design, fabrication, and supply of nano-focusing devices on a European level.
• Promote a common approach towards industrial suppliers.

The scope of the Round Table Discussion on Diamond Crystals is to:

• Inform about the present status and the future plans of the field of the growth of high quality single crystal diamond,
• Identify the present and future needs of the 3rd and 4th generation X-ray sources in high quality diamond samples,
• Coordinate the needs of the potential customers of single crystal diamonds,
