To download your experimental data stored on NICE (central storage), you can use one of the three following methods:

  • For downloading individual datasets when the volume is low (no more than 1 GB) you may use the data catalogue
  • For downloading moderately large amounts of data under /data/visitor, an easy method is to use protocols such as rsync or sftp using tools such as Filezilla or WinSCP
  • For downloading larger volumes of data, ESRF deployed the Globus managed file transfer solution

To access ESRF computers, either to perform remote experiments or to analyze your data, you can use one of the three following methods:

  • For a simple command-line interface (Unix computers), you can use SSH
  • For a Unix desktop, ESRF deployed a graphical remote desktop based on Guacamole
  • For a Windows desktop, ESRF implemented a remote desktop via the SSL Gateway

Please check out the left-hand menu entries to learn more about those methods.
