X-Ray and Neutron Science - International Student Summer Programme
The ESRF/ILL International Student Summer Programme on X-Ray and Neutron Science is aimed at undergraduate students. It will consist in a 4-week experimental project embedded in a research group of ESRF or ILL, together with a series of introductory lectures on the principles and applications of X-ray and neutron science (magnetism, materials science, soft matter, structural biology, imaging, etc.).

Undergraduate students from a Member Country (or Scientific Associate Country) of ESRF or ILL are eligible to the Summer Programme. The Summer Programme will be held in English; participants are expected to be fluent in written and spoken English. The number of participants is limited to about 20.
All selected participants will receive a financial support covering the travel and local expenses in Grenoble.
Candidates to the Summer Programme should provide fill-in the online application form, and provide (as PDF files to be uploaded via the application form) the following items:
- complete CV, including the records of all university marks and exams.
- motivation letter.
- certificate of English language fluency (this may be a TOEFL or an attestation signed by a university lecturer of English language); students who are English native speakers or enrolled in an English language university are exempted of this certificate.
