& Associated Workshops

  Grenoble, 3 - 5 February, 2014

Users Organization

FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

From 3-5 February 2014 Grenoble will be the place to gather for all European scientists interested in cutting-edge research using synchrotron radiation. The ESRF is heading towards the culmination of Phase I of its Upgrade Programme, which has seen significant change and development on more than half of its beamlines, and is in the conception stages of what is hoped will be Phase II of its Upgrade Programme based on a new low-emittance storage ring lattice. Exchange among users, beamline staff and  Management is of utmost importance during these crucial and dynamic times.

The plenary meeting will host lectures on recent major scientific advances in a range of different research fields covered by the wide spectrum of scientific activity taking place at the ESRF.

Three satellite workshops in areas which could benefit directly from new science made possible with a new source as well as parallel sessions and a joint poster session will offer a unique opportunity to enjoy exciting science and to debate the scientific prospects of a possible second phase of the ESRF Upgrade Programme.
