Additive Manufacturing in the dynamic world

3D printing of metals offers new possibilities for the design of components. Besides the geometrical freedom, additive manufacturing allows to locally design the material properties by varying the manufacturing process parameters. New mechanical design concepts, integrated functions, hybrid material systems as well as completely new alloys can be realized.
