Sample environments

  • ID30B is equipped with a modified microdiffractometer (MD2-S), allowing data collection from micron-sized crystals mounted on conventional cryo-supports or in crystallisation plates (in situ).
  • A new generation, flexible and high throughput sample changer (FlexHCD) capable of transferring samples from either EMBL/ESRF pucks or Unipucks has also been developed for ID30B in a collaboration between the ESRF and EMBL-Grenoble.

Detectors

  • PILATUS3 6M 1000 ┬Ám Si sensor (Dectris). This detector was funded with support from the French Infrastructure for Integrated Structural Biology (FRISBI) ANR-10-INBS-05 to the CNRS and the ESRF.
  • AXAS-A X-ray fluorescence detector (KETEK)
