ID26 was temporarily removed to take these photographs :-)  The distance from the X-ray source point to the end of the beam line is about 80m.

The white wall on the right is the shielding around the synchrotron. Looking at the doors, starting from the right hand side, you have the optics hutch, the XAFS experimental hutch (BM26A) the XAFS control cabin (where a scientist is seated), the SAXS (BM26B) experiments hutch, the SAXS control cabin and the sample preparation lab in the distance. The curvature is an optical illusion.
