Prof. John Rehr: seminar and practical on FEFF9

Prof. John Rehr from the University of Washington will visit the ESRF for a few days at the beginning of June. He will give a seminar on the latest advances in FEFF9 and in the new BSE codes (AI2NBSE and OCEAN) as well as a "hands on" practical in order for participants to become familiar with the new code.

The number of participants will be limited to 30 for practical reasons.
The selection will be done on a first-come-first-served basis.

 

This event will take place at the ESRF on Tuesday June 1st in the Auditorium at the and is organized as follows:

 

9:00 - 10:00 Seminar

 

10:00 - 12:30 Hands on practical

 

**** Important information for the practical ****
You will need to bring your own laptop and make sure your batteries are charged since there are only a limited number of plugs available in the Auditorium.

John will be around in the afternoon of Tuesday 1st June and will be staying a few days with us for those of you who would like to go into more depth.
