Studying the Crossbridge Mechanism in Muscle on ID02. <br /> The ESRF Muscle Consortium was established a few years ago, constituting the major research groups in Europe studying the molecular mechanism of muscle contraction by X-ray diffraction. The primary goal of this consortium is to exploit the high-brilliance small-angle X-ray diffraction technique to probe the details of molecular motions during the crossbridge cycle.
