The BM14 SCIENCE day is a way for us to share some of the scientific highlights from BM14 users during the year. It is also an opportunity for us to contribute to the scientific calendar on the Polygone scientifique campus here in Grenoble. The first BM14 SCIENCE day was held in 2003 and was essentially instigated to celebrate the successful installation and commissioning of the MAR 225 3x3 CCD detector.

The enthusiastic response that we got from this impromptu celebration inspired us to organise a similar event for 2004/5. This resulted in the BM14 science day 2005 which was more ambitious including a set of tutorials on SHARP/AUTOSHARP, COOT and DM!

The success of the science and software/tutorial format has forced us to continue again this year (sigh!) and hence we have (at least we hope) risen to the challenge to provide you all with an exciting mix of presentations and tutorials. The event is primarily organised for the local structural biology community, but is fully open to anyone from outside of Grenoble who would like to attend.
