The Reconstructed Volume

As the program progresses reconstructed slices are output. Depending on the size of the slices and the cache size of the processor, and the number of processors, 1, 2, or 4 slices may be reconstructed together, and then output. The output order is always slice by slice. This means that when the rotation axis is horizontal, the output order perhaps not that which would be expected.

Provided the normalisation has been performed correctly, and the pixel sizes have set correctly, the output will be in units  of absorption per centimetre. At present the filtering removes the D.C. component when Fourier filtering is performed. Thus the output is relative, and not in absolute units. The air absorption at the edge of the object can be used to set the absolute absorption scale.
