Due to the wide variety of X-ray scattering techniques that the beamline can offer and to the high demand for in situ measurements, the D2AM beamline was equipped with a number of commercial and homemade furnaces. Even though we have access to the ESRF instrument pool, these furnaces are always available at the beamline as they are extensively and regularly used.

While the QMAX furnace was designed for GI and powder diffraction, it can also be used for X-ray diffraction as for the Antoon Paar.

The SAXS furnaces were designed to work in a transmission geometry during SAXS and WAXS experiments.
