Sample Handling Robot

The MASSIF experimental stations are designed as highly automated production lines. Thus a simple design and the use of industrial solutions has been chosen. Sample manipulation on MASSIF-1 is performed by a TX60L robot by Stäubli.

Dewar

Because of the lack of industrial solution, an ESRF Automated Dewar was developed with the help of Absolut System, which is capable to maintain 24 pucks in lN2 (i.e. 240 samples in SPINE standard pucks).
