Closure of ID20

last modified 22-06-2010 10:12

One of the next beamlines to move in the new ESRF beamline floorplan will be ID20 which will move from its current location to ID06.

Current plans foresee the closure of beamline ID20 during the 2011/I scheduling period, and therefore this beamline will not be open for new proposals for the 1st September 2010 proposal submission deadline.

We expect to resume our call for proposals on the new beamline ID06 for the 1st March 2011 proposal submission deadline, albeit with a reduced amount of beamtime available. The new beamline will initially only be open for proposals corresponding to the activities of the original ID20-EH1 (diffraction in vertical scattering geometry, in particular azimuthal scans). The activities of ID20-EH2 (diffraction in horizontal scattering geometry, in particular with the 10T cryomagnet) will initially not be available on the new beamline ID06. We expect these activities to become fully available in January 2014.
