Detector & Electronics Development Projects

In addition to beamline or application specific developments, the Instrument Support Group is involved in the following "general purpose" projects:

 

Detectors

  • SCINTAX - high resolution scintillators

  • MAXIPIX - Hybrid pixel detectors

  • FReLoN - Fast/low-noise CCD cameras

  • ACE - APD counting system

  • hiZpad - High-Z pixel sensors for pixel array detectors



Data Acquisition




Beamline Control
  • IcePAP - motor control system
  • MUSST - programmable module for synchronisation, sequencing and triggering
  • OPIOM - programmable digital input/output module
  • MoCo - synchrotron optical component position regulator
  • UMI - motor controller interface
  • Vscanner - analog voltages generator to drive a XY scanning device
