On Call Service

BLISS offers an on call service for beamlines during USM from 7:00 to 23:00 weekends included. To contact the person on call you MUST first call the floor coordinator ( 25.25 ) who will then beep the person on-call.

How the On-Call service works

 

At any one time two people are on call - ONCALL #1 and ONCALL #2. Each of them has a BIPLUS beep. If a beamline has a problem it must call the Floor Coordinator (2525) who will then beep ONCALL #1. ONCALL#1 will call the Floor Coordinator to find out which beamline to call. If ONCALL#1 cannot solve the problem he calls the operator to beep ONCALL#2 who will hopefully be able to solve the problem.

 

The two beep and telephone numbers are:

 

06 57 48 85 61 (Beep One)
06 32 63 50 03 (Tel. One)
06 57 47 53 99 (Beep Two)
06 87 72 58 81 (Tel. Two)


    There is no point in calling these numbers, as the person on-call will always call the Floor Coordinator. The telephones are usually switched off.
