Mirror (OH2)

General Description

After the post-monochromators the beam can be reflected on a mirror in the same hutch. This is particularily useful for rejecting higher harmonics for diffraction experiments in EH1.

Mirror surfaces

The mirror is 200 mm long and mounted on a hexapod system to allow adjustment of the x-y-z positions and tilt of the mirror. One of the three coatings is chosen depending on the energy of the monochromator.

The mirror surfaces available now are:

  • SiO2
  • Ni coated stripe
  • Pd coated stripe
