In situ microRaman on ID13
|
The ID13 beamline can now offer in situ microfocus Raman Spectroscopy facilities within the second Experimental Hutch (EH2). A custom-built MicroRaman system was delivered in 2005, designed in collaboration with Renishaw PLC. The system coaxially delivers a focussed laser spot to the same position on the sample as the X-ray beam. The laser spot size at the focal position is approximately 1 µm in diameter. It is therefore possible to simultaneously collect WAXS/SAXS and Raman spectra from the same position on the specimen at the same time, using appropriate X-ray optics. More information about the system is available here. |
