A new MARCCD 165 detector is now available for use on the ID13 beamline. Detector commissioning was completed successfully some weeks ago and it has already been operational for a number of recent user experiments in the second experimental hutch. The new detector boasts a larger area (165 mm in diameter) and significantly faster readout times.
