The beamline may occasionally require re-alignment. All users can do an automatic re-alignment of the beamline using the Quick Realign button under the Hutch menu of MxCuBE.

    What does Quick Realign do?

This quick alignment moves the experiment table to the most intense section of the X-ray beam. The alignment takes a bit less than 2 minutes during which the sample is not exposed.

For afficionados, the details of the scans performed in spec are below:

    1.  dscan thgt -0.3 0.3 15 0.3 (counter i0, move to center of Gaussian or the highest point)
    4. dscan ttrans -0.3 0.3 15 0.3 (counter i0, move to center of Gaussian or the highest point)

    What numbers should I expect?

The calibrated intensity is displayed in MxCuBE on the right hand side. This valus should correspond to ~ 3-4 x 10(12) Ph/mm2/s at 13.2 keV and 200mA current. Lower values (upto 10-fold) can be expected at lower energies (< 10 keV).
