Can not collect images

Check first if they are an error message in the spec(exp) window.

If you used the "ABORT" button, the system can be confused (less true since the 21st of september, but old bugs can come back..) ... You can try first a "reconfig" in spec(exp), the blue window in the expert command desktop. If it is not working, quit the MarCCD application, quit the spec(exp) session (by writing "quit"), then restart the MarCCD application (click on the "Start detector software" icon), wait a little bit the small window vanished and restart the spec(exp) session.  Check the system is working again with a dummy data collection (with the option "Force a dark current at the satrt of collection" on).

Can't "follow image" with ADXV application.

Restart the python script "adxvNotify.py" on sybil by writing "python adxvNotify.py lid233:eh2 3" in the directory /users/blissadm/local/scripts or "notify" (it is an alias) on a terminal.

I can collect images but the dispaly is not updated during data collection on the MarCCD application.

Check that you have "detector" written above the top right of diffraction image area on the MarCCD. The MarCCD application is using 5 image buffers: detector, background, scratch, scratch1 to 3. You can choose the "scratch" buffers to display your diffraction pattern but only the "detector" buffer display the current image during a data collection.
