The automated annealing procedure is imbedded into mxCuBE within the HUTCH menu in the upper right corner (together with the buttons for Center Beam and Quick Realign). It is accessible only in the Expert mode (your local contact will provide you with the password). Pressing the button Anneal will open a pop-up window asking for the annealing time in seconds. Enter the value and confirm by pressing on OK.

During the annealing procedure, the cryo cooling device will be moved to the sample transfer position and the backlight, the collimator and the fluorescence detector will be automatically moved to the OUT position. With the front light switched on you are able to see you crystal during the annealing procedure.
