Trouble Shooting

We hope your use of the beamline is trouble free and you never need to use these pages. But we have included a number of trouble shooting solutions. Please read carefully the error messages given by the spec(exp) or spec(opt) session as they can help you either to find from where could come the problem and giving fruitful information to your local contact. There are three local troubleshooting pages (for the local problems) on the left, one for general beamline problems (optics/beam), one for problems related to the ID23-2 mini-diffractometer/sample changer and a last one for detector related problems.

There is also a General trouble shooting page, which details some solutions to the following problems:

  •  Quick fixes - complied for the BAG training session in Nov 2005
  •  General beamline problems
  •  Detector problems
  •  Minidiff problems

You can find the link to a computer login page here. This is a protected webpage with all the logins and passwords necessary to reboot and start/stop processes in case of computer crashes. This webpage is only accessible onsite with your LDAP (site/NICE) password, which you need to type in to access the page. Thus, it is only available for local contacts with the relevant account.
