Gigabit network installation to speed up data backup on windows PC. Capillary backstop with aperture installed. Possible to collect data to below 50Å. Must be carefully aligned of course. Axis video server installed (only visible on-site). Live video feed of sample, sample changer and hutch over intranet. Linux PC (masala) in control cabin permanently displaying output.
New data processing/data backup PC running ESRF linux installed (pc141data). 2 x dual core 3.0Ghz XEON processors, 2Go RAM, USB2.0 for connection of backup disks.

Not in beam at moment - will return in near future: Compound refractive lenses installed in optics hutch after diamond monochromator - 20% increase in beam intensity.
ADSC Q210 detector installed. Current attainable maximum resolution 0.95Å. 22 frames per minute possible (for 1o/sec, 1 pass).
MUSST Card installed for improved shutter synchronisation and data logging.
Old linux pc (mesange) replaced with dual processor pc (patia) running ESRF linux 1.1.1.

Wago device server problem. This occurs occassionally. You will see an error message in prodc and the attenuators and backlight on button box won't work.
Importance of Cryostream Position...
On-axis viewer (OAV) installed for improved crystal viewing and centring.
pyspy installed on hpcc12 for monitoring cryostream status and lN2 level. Type pyspy.
Data processing scripts for MOSFLM and XDS automatically created in a process subdirectory. This directory and all its subdirectories are automatically generated with the correct permissions for use on all data processing computers at the ESRF.
New 10 processor linux clusters available for users: jane (Redhat) and tarzan (SUSE) to complement gorilla and p3-id29.

DNA installed on beamline control computer. Interfaces with prodc to automate indexing and strategy of crystals.
Control computer upgraded to dual processor linux box with dual screen.
New computers for ADSC detector.
