Experimental Hutch 2

last modified 20-03-2008 18:16

The second experimental hutch (EH2), 7 m long and 4.7 m wide, is centered around 55 m from the source, and can accept both white and monochromatic beam. The white beam reaches a size of 165 mm (horizontal) by 7 mm (vertical)(FWHM at 20 keV). For example, this permits white and wide beam topography and other imaging techniques, with very good spatial resolution. The beam usually enters the hutch through a Be window.

The hutch presently under modifications comprises:

  • A lead multipurpose box (in preparation)
  • A microtomography station (in preparation)
  • An horizontal diffractometer for topography (available)
  • A vertical diffractometer for monochromatic imaging and diffraction enhanced imaging (in preparation)
  • A curved crystal diffractometer (in preparation)
