General

• FIP setup is now published. Users are highly encouraged to cite this reference for data recorded on FIP.
  
  

Settings

• ADSC Q315r CCD detector is now available on FIP (more about ADSC here)
• The Mini Diffractometer from Maatel is now available on FIP
• a bi-opteron (64-bit) is available, coupled with a linux cluster of 4 bi-XEON for data processing.
  
• CATS, an automated sample changer, is available on FIP. It requires "18 mm" magnetic Hampton loop. Take a glance of the robot movies (1) or (2). The CATS system is distributed all over the world by the IRELEC company.
  
• Crystallization plates can also be used with the D-ROB application: video (AVI) or video (MPEG).
  
  

Software

• Remote control of FIP from outside the ESRF via a fast internet access is possible.
