Running SHELX at BM16

Data scaled using Scalepack can be entered directly into SHELXC or XPREP to create a SHELX input file, however, if your data was processed using XDS or MOSFLM/SCALA you will need to convert the UNMERGED data using either XDS_conv or MTZ-2-various to a SHELX reconizable format.

SHELX can be executed on either bm16process1 or bm16process2 by tying shelxd or shelxe at the command prompt eg:

%shelxd my_mad_data_fa

You can produce input files for SHELXD and SHELXE using either SHELXC or XPREP. To run XPREP just type xprep at the command prompt. Alternatively, you can run HKL2map the new GUI version of SHELXC/D & E by typing hkl2map at the command prompt on bm16process1 & 2.

More info on SHELX can be found on the ESRF PXSOFT pages.
