Getting started
Processing BM16 data with HKL2000 at home
BM16 recently obtained a license for the HKL/HKL2000 suite of programs (version 0.98.689) which provides a fast and easy to use GUI for Denzo, Scalepack and XDISP.
Manual
The HKL2000 manual is available on-line (PDF) as well as searchable lists of Denzo and Scalepack keywords.
Getting started
The program is executed by typing HKL2000 (in caps) at the command prompt on bm16process1 or bm16process2:
%HKL2000 (*note caps)
If you want to run HKL2000 without the interface, Denzo and Scalepack can be called in the standard way by typing denzo or scalepack at the prompt. Xdisp can also be called by typing xdisp at the prompt followed by your file name. For example:
%denzo @auto-index.dat%xdisp myimage_1_001.mccd
You can find a standard denzo input file here and a typical scalepack input here.
Processing BM16 data with HKL2000 at home
Industrial and commercial users must have an appropriate license to use the program at the beamline.
Academic users who dont have a HKL2000 license can obtain a temporary license to process data collected at BM16 at home by contacting HKL Research directly.
Once you have obtained a temporary license, or if you already have a HKL2000 license for your home lab, you can download the site.def file for processing BM16 data from here.
More info on using HKL2000 ate the ESRF can be found on the PXSOFT pages.
Note: The BM16 HKL2000 Licence allows you to process data collected from BM16 only, and is licensed exclusively for use with the BM16 ADSCQ210 detector.
