Beamline 16 (BM16) is dedicated to Macromolecular Crystallography (PX) and Small/Wide Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS/WAXS).
-
The PX station has been in continuous operation since September 2003. It has full MAD and Sulphur-SAD capabilities, is able to deliver X-ray beam between 6-17 keV (2.06-0.73 Å), and can be used to measure small crystals and large cells.
-
The SAXS/WAXS station is now fully commissioned and accepted its first official users early in 2006.
BM16 is funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología and DURSI, and managed by the Laboratori de Llum Sincrotró (LLS).
