Digital Electronics Lab

The Digital Electronics Group is hosted by the Instrumentation Services & Development division. Its main duties are:

• maintenance of a pool of standard interfaces;
• development of dedicated electronics on request from the ESRF users;
• operation of Electronics Design Automation (EDA) tools.

Some in house designed items may become commercially available.

• DASY system, PCI Time to Digital Converter (TDC) and software,
  for gas-filled detectors (delay line based) readout or time-of-flight measurement.
• ASG217, 16 channel amplifier-discriminator ASIC,
  for wire chamber binary readout.
