The Power Supplies Group is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of the power supplies and associated equipment related to the operation of the Machines (Booster and Storage Ring) and of the High Quality Power Supply. The photo below shows the power supplies which feed direct current to the storage ring magnets. There are several types of supplies according to the various types of magnets : dipoles, focusing and defocusing quadrupoles, sextupoles and steerers. |
