The following figure defines the status of Insertion Device installation on the ESRF storage ring. Each straight section can include in general up to three ID segments denoted with the letters U, M, D referring to upstream, middle stream and downstream positions respectively. Each green cell in the figure means that the associated position in the straight section is equipped with an ID segment. This figure is a clickable image map, individual cells can be clicked to obtain more detailed information.
