3 Tesla permanent magnet wiggler

Introduction
The new narrow vacuum chambers allow operating the insertion devices with a magnetic gap of 11mm. Due to the reduced gap, high magnetic fields are easier to achieve. The ESRF ID group has constructed an asymmetric permanent magnet wiggler of 3 Tesla peak field dedicated to the production of circularly polarized light at high energy.
